I realize that I'm probably about to piss off quite a few people... but oh well.
Let me make this clear; I AM NOT PRO-WHALING. At all. I think it's something of the past that is not needed in modern day society. BUT I do not think that boarding japanese whaling vessels is the correct way to end it. Double if you RECORD the damn thing and put it out for all to see. Boarding another vessel is a little thing called PIRACY and when its not done by Johnny Depp in a Disney movie its not attractive and its very illegal. They may be risking their lives to do this, but they are also harming the very cause they support. If they were just recording the footage of the Japanese harvesting the whales and putting that on animal planet, I would not have an issue. I'd respect them even. But the moment they stepped on another nations boat for the world to see? Sorry. It's piracy, it's pointless, and whether people like it or not... whaling has been done long before it was commercialized... had it not been commercialized and there were more whales in the world there would probably be less done about it. Small countries surrounded by water are going to get their resources from the sea after all.... Food for thought

I live down in the Australia/New Zealand region and are very annoyed at how our Governments wringe their hands at the concept of confonting the Japanese over the whaling, and I support several non-whaling organizations. However, I don't condone their more 'brutal' methods the Shepard uses.
All in all really, everyone has an opinion, but coming in (near) flaming like this doesn't particularly help the message that *SungSurin wants to address with it, which is with some of their methods, they are making the situation worse, rather than better.
